Nutritionally balanced boxes of certified organic produce are packed weekly by Heritage. The boxes contain 4 to 5 vegetables and 4 to 5 fruits which vary from week to week. Recipes, nutritional notes, and notices of special events are emailed frequently, and if you do not have email will be placed in your box . The boxes sell for $26 if picked up at the farm, while deliveries made to our pickup locations incur a delivery charge based on distance. Our nutritionist helps to design the boxes so they are balanced and also helps with special need boxes, such as a low glycemic, a low carb, a high antioxidant, or an immune booster box, etc. Although "likes and dislikes" are taken into consideration, customers are encouraged to try new produce varieties. All fruits and vegetables included in the boxes are certified organically grown and as local as possible to maintain a nutritional balance. In season, most of the veggies and some of the fruits come from our 20 acre certified organic farm in Effingham County.
You may sign up to join our box co-op either by telephone or e-mail. You will need to submit an application and payment in order to activate your service.
There are several box options available:
1. The Original - a nutritionally balanced box with 5 fruits and 5 vegetables - $26 base price
2. The Family - 3 fruits and 3 vegetables with larger quantities of each - $26 base price
3. The Petite - 3 fruits and 3 vegetables but not larger quantities of each - $16 base price
(With any of the above options you may get 80% vegetables and 20% fruit or vice versa)
